Fast growing markets India, Mexico, Turkey take digital ELT from Digital Learning Associates
/300 million students
Digital Learning Associates DLA has secured a raft of exclusive deals with leading education distributors in India, Mexico and Turkey, opening new sales opportunities in markets totalling over 300 million school students.* With an innovative subscription model based on per-pupil or per-school payments, these latest ventures add scale, recurring revenue and the growth of emerging markets to DLA’s existing business in licensing its unique IP and content to education publishers.
Solutions for fast-growing markets
In a worldwide ELT sector estimated to be growing from 1.5 billion learners in 2015 to 2 billion in 2020, DLA is world leader in the supply of video content for better teaching and learning in digital classrooms. The award winning Ready to Run platform offers streaming access to authentic contemporary stories from a diverse global range of English speakers. Schools worldwide also access lesson designs for all four language skills, projects/homework, CLIL and life skills including critical thinking, creativity and collaboration.
The ReadytoRun package is especially valuable in emerging fast growth markets for several reasons.
Teachers need the extra power of great video to engage their Generation Z learners raised on youTube.
In Mexico, Turkey and India, English equates with success but schools cannot access quality resources and native speakers.
The content rental model, with the ability to bill on a per-pupil basis, offers a route to fast and affordable deployment for schools and Ministries.
Distributors in the three new markets are supplying their client schools with access to DLA’s award-winning Ready to Run solution for video-led ELT. Carried on the Uscreen enterprise VOD platform, with a scalability to serve millions of users concurrently, the solution has been trialled and proven throughout 2019 with 600 teachers using it in ELT classrooms worldwide.
The new distribution partners are Unlimited Educational Services (Turkey), P-Education (Mexico) and Clara EdTech (India).
DLA is a finalist in the Education Investor 2019 awards for Digital Publisher of the Year.
